Garibaldi
Garibaldi Review
With the same owners as the Olde Pink House, Garabaldi might appear to be just another tourist trap near the city market. Look closer. This is a restaurant revered by the city's titans and Savannah's crème de le crème. Many remember Garibaldi for it's well-priced Italian classics, but the kitchen also sends out some much more ambitious offerings, albeit at higher prices. There are such unforgettable appetizers as lamb ribs, slow-cooked with a sweet ginger sauce and a fuchsia pear-cabbage relish, and a salad with a poached pear, arugula, walnuts, and goat cheese fritters with a port-wine vinaigrette. Plump soft-shell crabs come with surprising glazes, and grouper and snapper with original treatments may be paired with house-made chutney and crab risotto. Have your knowledgeable and professional server suggest wine pairings.

After a disappointing dinner at Noble Fare we were recommended by our B&B to try Garibaldis. Excellent! The service was friendly, professional, and efficient even though the restaurant was very busy. 4 of us who all had different starters and mains, with the clams getting rave revues. All the seafood & pasta we had was very good. Good wine list and our request for a second bottle of wine was swiftly delivered. It was a bit noisy, but considering the restaurant & bar was packed it was not too bad. Definitely a spot we will return too and are very happy to recommend.
