Lodging and Activities near Fallingwater in PA
My husband and I are touring Fallingwater the Monday of Memorial Day weekend. We're planning to head up Saturday, and will likely tour Kentuck Knob (another Frank Lloyd Wright house) on Sunday. We're looking for recommendations on places to stay (an inn or B&B would be nice), places to eat, and other activities to do in our time there. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think you CAN tour Fallingwater on any Monday, let alone Memorial Day:

Don't know what your price range is for lodging, but Nemacolin Resort is very close to Fallingwater and is WONDERFUL! It's a little pricey, though. Great spa, good restaurants on site, golf, other outdoor activities, etc.

You didn't mention what types of activities you like, but one suggestion is whitewater rafting.
There are class III rapids near Fallingwater -- not too scary but still fun. Google "whitewater rafting pennsylvania."

The town just south of Fallingwater (I'm blanking out on the name) has a lovely state park with beautiful hiking trails along the river. An old train bed has been converted into a hiking/bike path, and there are places to rent bicycles.
I second the recommendation on whitewater rafting. By Memorial Day there should be plenty of tamer rapids if you prefer them.

Nemacolin Resort & Spa is just down the street from Fallingwater. The spa facilities, grounds and food was excellent. I thought the room left a little to be desired (in the Chateau) for the price--it looked a bit worn.

OK, we booked two nights at the Inne at Watson's Choice in Uniontown. We're going to tour Kentuck Knob on Saturday, whitewater raft the Lower Yough on Sunday, and tour Fallingwater on Monday. We might also try to do some hiking in Ohiopyle State Park Saturday afternoon. I'll post a report when we return!
