Hotel for a night

We will be honeymooning in Greece in Sept, and will have a 20 hour layover in London. Where and what hotel should we stay to be near the action or a few sites of London. Looking for 3-4 star hotel.

Thanks.

you might start with telling everyone your budget (the pound is very strong) and also do a search on this forum for "London Hotel" suggestions.

..also your arrival and departure times will help as I might make different recommendations based on this info.

need above info PLUS which airport(s). Transport options and convenience would be different depending on when and where you arrive and when and where you depart . . . . . .

We will be flying into Heathrow on 9/22. I guess we would be willing to pay $250 US at the most.
Thanks.

I doubt you'll get a 3 or 4 star hotel for $250 US which is only 130 pounds. Can you tell us when you'll be landing? You may have to settle for a decent room close to the hotel and take the train into town to see some sites.

I think you could easily do that through Priceline or londontown.com I got a nice 4* hotel in London for less than that on Londontown -- and even though it was August so maybe cheaper seasonal rates, I think it's possible. I've heard people get great deals on Priceline in London so that sounds perfect for your situation. If I understand this (and I'm not sure I do), you want a hotel for one night? Just pick a 4* Priceline hotel in Mayfair or some really central place.
