Garrett's Desert Inn Review

This sprawling, U-shaped motel may surround a parking lot and offer relatively little in the way of ambience, but it's fairly well maintained and you can't beat its location just a few blocks from the Plaza, smack in the middle of historic Barrio de Analco. The clean, no-frills rooms are done in earthy tones with a smattering of Southwest touches, and there's a pleasant pool and patio as well.

    Price to value isn't there

    We recently stayed at this hotel and we're very dissatisfied with it. The sink in the bathroom was diry(facial hair), a floor lamp was broken, and the shower head was leaking water and spraying everywhere. The person at the front desk was very defensive. The price I paid was at the high end for one night and on top of that they had the nerve to charge me an $8.00 parking fee. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. I recognize it was conveniently located but not worth the price.

    Dirty Beds and Pillows

    These are NOT clean rooms. The pillows and bed clothes smelled so bad that I went to walmart and purchased cheap replacements for the 3 night stay. The price doesn't compensate for foulness. The location is spectacular, but I will walk a few blocks further and pay a few dollars more rather than stay there again.
