Résidence Review

In a picturesque 16th-century house in the heart of town, with a rather cutting-edge restaurant on the ground floor and a young, friendly, and energetic staff, this option has several strong pluses, and though the cheapest rooms are pretty basic—both the bathroom and the shower are in the hallway—the more expensive ones have in-room bathrooms, and one even has a hot tub. The brasserie-type restaurant, La Salamandre, on the ground floor, uses products that are certified organic, farm-raised, and homemade, from the vegetable terrine to the nougat ice cream. In winter a fire crackles in the hearth.
