On one of Caen's oldest streets near the castle, this half-timber 17th-century dining room—complete with stone walls, beam ceilings, and a large fireplace—showcases the regional cuisine of David Schiebold. The three-course prix-fixe menu (€18) is a great value: options might include grilled duck, cannelloni with goat cheese, or king-prawn risotto, and, to finish, red berries in flaky pastry with coconut milk.

Former restaurant of Michel Bruneau (1 Michelin star) named "La Bourride", take over by one of his crew. Nice and easy sort of gastro brasserie with good and simple products.
