resturants in Maui

My husband and I will be in Maui for two weeks in October, November. Anyone out there know of some good resturants there. We are staying Near Kaanapali Beach at our timeshare but I do not want to cook every meal.Anywhere on the island is fine, we will be driving around a lot.How about breakfast places or places to buy food for a picnic.
Thanks

For breakfast, try the Gazebo at the Napili Shores(?) condo complex. Go early or be prepared to wait in line. We also enjoyed having breakfast at the Plantation House in Kapalua - great views!

My husband and I loved the restaurant Pacific O which is near Kaanapali. I think it is actually in Lahaina, but ask around for directions. The restaurant was fabulous, and the view was incredible. It is located on the beach; we actually sat a foot away from sandy beach. It's beautiful as the sun is setting. Call for reservations, and ask for an outdoor table to get the best view!

Tina, there have been so many recent posts about restaurants in Maui, I think if you do a search you will find tons of good info.

We loved Mama's Fish House near Paia, and at Whaler's Village in Kaanapali, the Hula Grill and Leilani's are both right on the beach and have great food. Buzz's Wharf at Maalea Harbor also has gret food and a nice Harbor view.

Re food for a picnic, there is a Safeway on the main highway between Kaanapali and Lahaina where we always shop.

If you like Pacific'O, you may also want to try I'O next door (both owned by same chef). We thought it was even better! Both are located at the 505 Front Street complex in Lahaina.

All the above are great. My favorite casual place: Cheeseburger in Paradise. Good for lunch or light dinner (cheeseburgers of course), great views, great music upstairs. For a more traditional dinner we like Longhi's, great italian with a dash of Hawaii. Both of these restaurants are in Lahaina, not far from your timeshare.

Enjoy

We liked Roy's in Kiehi (sp?). It's in a strip shopping mall but don't let that stop you. The food was fabulous. It was the best we experienced during our trip last month.
