Okay. I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears and start singing nannanananannananana...

I really don't want to know that he cheated on JoAnne.
Really. I don't.

Well, the Elin thing proved one thing. Men will cheat on women even if they have great arms.

The latest news is that she moved out temporarily. Who could blame her?

The difference between Paul Newman and Tiger Woods is that Newman never pretended to be Mr. Good Boy. He was not self-righteous or prissy, and he was the first to make fun of himself. He had two things Tiger ain't never had: a sense of humor and a sense of humility.

Whatever went on with/between PN and JW, I have zero doubt about the strength of their relationship. She was his equal in every way; she did not marry him to advance her own position.

Excellent points, LucieV.
I'm a big JW fan. As much as I like PN, I like her more.

I adore her, too, starrs. Did you see Mr. and Mrs. Bridge? It was not an exciting film, but it was perfect -- they were perfect in it. I had read the novel well bf anybody decided to make it into a film, and I was slightly leery about seeing it...but they totally "got it."

What?? You mean, gtg, that you and your SO aren't in perfect sync with each other all the time? You mean he's never expressed any frustration with you, nor you with him? You mean neither of you has ever fantasized about doing it with somebody else??

Sheesh.

Let's just hope that a book doesn't come out about Jimmy Carter's affairs or starrs whole world might go up in smoke.

oops, I screwed up on that. I suck at irony or satire or facetiousness or whatever I was trying to do.

But you know what I meant, right?!

I can't remember who said it but somebody called Jimmy Carter "the famed Walter Mitty of adultery"!

Yes, meth, I admire Jimmy Carter.

Funny you know so much history about posters and threads that preceded "methuselah" showing up on this board. Don't know who you "used to be". Don't care. Just find your comments reflecting a prior history here "interesting". Just another day on Fodors ;-)

I remember in the Playboy interview wher J Carter said he'd "lusted" in his heart over women and that was just as bad as adultery. Well, I know my DH has lusted after Salma Hayak, but I'm okay with that.
