Having just watched last Saturday's SNL If I was 40 years younger I would insist on a "Blake Lively Clause" in my prenup.

"I'm sure Jimmy wasn't always out there picking peanuts."

Really? I can think of only one way you could be sure of that.

cigale- "But ncounty, there is the exceptional cad who has no stops on morality. His world is his needs, his wants, everything revolves around him, and the more conquests the better. No woman will be happy with him."

True, and I once dated a cad like that. No one woman will make him happy and he is still alone. I am not letting off the hook, he is a total cad.... but, I'll take my share of responsibility only for not recognizing it. Learning curve.

goddesstogo- I'm not saying it's right, I'm just being analytical. If one's general (not every minute all the time)needs are being met, he/she doesn't stray. Most people probably don't have their emotional/sexual/ego needs met and of this population, not all stray due to sense of right and wrong.

Don't shoot the analyst!!!

I think I'd rather be naive and be occasionally disappointed in someone than live my life thinking all men are cheaters all the time.

I know my SO is not a cheater and I'd guess that there are male posters here who have not cheated and women posters whose husbands haven't cheated. That's not to say that the desire or opportunities don't exist but some people are willing and able to overcome them because they love and respect their spouses.

If this is naive of me, well, there ya go.

As I said in another thread, at first I thought our "new" poster Meth was a gentleman, but obviously he is not. And a longer time male Fodorite friend warned me about him, he was so correct, as usual.

So, are they moving to an island home in Sweden? Or, just Elin & the kids?

Gtg, it was Elin's Mom. She collapsed. Sometning about stomach pains. It did not appear to be anything serious. Just like Tiger's car accident!

I think I'm getting better, thanks. My GP prescribed a puffer and a sinus spray and sent me for a chest xray to ensure that I don't have pneumonia (I'm pretty sure I don't). I still have some coughing fits, swollen glands off and on, and sore sinuses but today is the first time in weeks I've felt any level of energy. It might have helped that I actually slept the whole night last night (as opposed to the two solid hours I got the night before).

You're sweet for asking!

You slept through the first night of "Toronto Winter"! Good for you. I woke up when huge tree limbs crashed on the street in front of our house. And, then watched in disbelief as some guy hopped out of his car & lugged the fallen limbs from the street & dumped them on our front lawn, sidewalk & driveway!! Unbelievable! Could not get out of the driveway this morning.
