So ***kim***, I've seen short reviews of your meals at Pacific Way Cafe, Bistro, Gower Street Bistro, and Stephanie Inn over the past week (bet you're glad you've got your Del Sol Beach Cruiser along for exercise). You've described them all as either very good, or very, very good. Glad you like them all, but how do you really rank them? And where do Cafe Mango and Wayfarer fit in?

Also, have you found a decent meal in Seaside yet? And don't forget to try EVOO in CB.

BTW, the CB Hotel is a sister property of the one I recommended upthread. I think both, and the third sister too, are great alternatives for those who haven't the budget for Stephanie or Ocean Lodge.

To the original poster, Iwald123,
I'm following this thread closely as we're planning a trip to the Oregon Coast this fall.
(its easy to plan a trip by just doing a search here and reading countless past threads)

Actually I've been researching it for months now.
I spend months planning each trip, to get the most *bang for the buck*.
Most of us Fodorites do that and we often laugh about and discuss our addiction to travel planning!

So I'm wondering,
you're leaving in two weeks, and not just on any trip, but a *special* trip, an anniversary trip.

How does that work, not even knowing where you'll stay, or even *IF* you'll get a reservation?

I would seriously like to know as I don't think I could ever be that calm or cavalier.
Heaven knows my better half would have a fit, especially for our anniversary.

Thanks.

Actually, wanderluster, I think kimamom resurrected this almost two-week old thread just to write she'd had dinner in the Gower Street Bistro, in the same building as the Cannon Beach Hotel. Iwald123 may already be in Cannon Beach or elsewhere.
