Hawaii Entertainment Book
I'm planning my first trip to Hawaii--first two nights on Oahu and then 7 or 8 nights on the Big Island. Some folks have recommended looking into the Entertainment Book, but when I looked online it looked like most coupons were for just Oahu.
We definitely plan to see the Arizona memorial/Pearl Harbor, and I see there's a coupon for that, but is there much for the BI in the book? Is it worth it to go ahead and buy it? We plan to do a lot of exploring on the BI--seeing VNP, checking out local places in and around Hilo, and then moving to a resort on the Kona side, if that helps you in your advice.
Thanks!

I've read in at least one post that folks have used a coupon from the entertainment book for parasailing on the Big Island and another island. Can anybody confirm whether this is true, and if in fact the coupon is in this year's book?

http://www.goldcard.hawaiifun.org/ is the site. There are a variety of discounts. I would appreciate it if you know of any nice places to stay near VNP.

THanks for posting that link. As I've never been to the BI before, I can't really comment on good accommodations in/near VNP, but I can pass along this link of places I considered staying before deciding I didn't want to stay in VNP:

The same guy has rental properties all over the island and they look quite nice. I hope you find a place that suits you best!

I'd read nothing but good reports about this place, so we stayed there last May. It was wonderful!
