Rave - Boss decided at last minute to give us all the day off! Nice since he's been on a cruise someplace tropical all week.

Rant: My cold is stil raging, although I got about half my voice back yesterday.

Epic rant: Victims of the Earthquake and subsequent Tsunamis. May the aid the world sends find it's way to the people who need it most.

Rave: Warm-ish weather here in NJ! 50's today with 60's predicted for the weekend!

Rave: Looking forward to spending a fun NYE with friends tonight!

Mini Rant: My in-laws are moving 1 hour south to a new retirement home. I'm happy for them, and their new home is beautiful (with my design help) but we will miss having them 5 minutes away!

Happy New Year 2005 Everyone! Trish

Rave: My first six months of retirement have been superb, giving me the opportunity for frequest travel and to see my kids and grandkids much more frequently than in the past.

Rant: My SIL being recalled to active duty on Monday. Six months unit training then a year in Iraq.

Rave: My SIL and all the servicemen and women now and in the past who go in harms way for their country.

Rave: JJ5 who knows the real meaning of "devil's advocate".

Rant: Those Fodorites on both sides who seem to think unless you believe as they do, you are evil incarnate.

Rave: The vast majority of Fodorites who treat everyone with civilty and humor.

Rave: All the information and entertainment Fodorville has provided me this year.

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you have a great year.

Wishing a Healthy and Prosperous 2005 to all!

Rave: Schwab Charitable Trust approved my contribution to the American Red Cross's International Response Fund to aid the earthquake/tsunami vics in Asia.
Those who think W's response was inadequate can open their own wallets also (including the fools in the UN and our critics in Europe).

Rant: UAL's pilots trying to scam the US taxpayers for their pensions. I wish I had confidence in the "courts" to protect us.

Rave: The soon to be gone/liquidated USAir - 15 Jan.

Rave: Thin skins when confronted, lol.

Rave: Have not worked in 16 months and have no plans to ever do so again.

Rave: Took my first small IRA distribution @ age 60 1/12 this week.

Rave: SMdA in January.

Rave: In the 70's in DFW.

Rave: Opening many bottles from my great wine cellar recently transplanted to my SO's house.

Rave: The US military - too bad the top/upper leaders are looking more and more like the ticket punchers during the Viet Nam era.

Rave: Great NCAA football - GO NAVY!

Rave: Having a loving husband & son.

Rant: While at winter camp this week, teen son had $50 stolen out of his wallet, including a folded up hidden $20 dollar bill. It really bummed him out.

Rave: DH gave him $50 on the way home yesterday.

Rant: The many difficulties we faced in 2004 due to a contractor stealing a sizeable amount of $$ designated for new cabinetry for a huge home remodel we were doing... hopefully the FBI will put him in jail after their investigation.

Rave: The bonus that the client gave us when we completed the job despite the setbacks. It was very generous and helped to offset the loss.

Rave: The global outpouring of love & relief for the victims of the recent disaster in Asia.

Rant: Those who find it necessary to bash our government & it's leaders in the midst of their decision making during this tragedy.

Rave: Fodors Forum and the many hours of blessing it's given me helping others with their travel plans and receiving so much heartfelt information. Many tears and great laughs too. You're family. Priceless. ><

Rave: DH & I, our teen son, my mom, and a dear friend are getting baptized next Sunday. Jesus is the reason!

To everyone, blessings in 2005!

With all the devastation from the tsunami, I can't think of a single thing I have to rant about or be ungrateful for. My heart just breaks thinking about the victims especially the children. I thank God that I have a warm house, friends, family, money and everyone is safe. I wish you all a safe, happy New Year and pray for those affected by tragedy in Asia and throughout the world.

Annesherrod,
Had dinner @ Lola on 23 Dec. since their winter menu changed on 10 Dec and looked great.
The kitchen was more than a bit stretched that night.
Iris on Lover's @ Inwood is still wonderful.
Happy 2005.

Mikemo:
Enjoy your retirement!! It's a wonderful life. People still ask us what we do with our time and the answer is always "whatever we want"

Did you have any Tin Can Duty?
