My husband and I are visiting someone in Pompano Beach for a few days midweek in October and would like to stay in a small but nice beachfront hotel or inn in that general area. We were hoping for the penthouse room at the Tides Inn in Fort Lauderdale but it's booked for the dates we need. Would appreciate any similar suggestions.

Thanks for 2 great suggestions -- I've been curious about Lago Mar for a long time. Can you rent by the day at Fairvield Vista or is it only full weeks? Thanks again.
