Some friends asked me to show them my photos but I asked them to cut and paste not click on the link. They say it doesn't work but it does for me?

Crossing over the viaduct at Millau will not provide you with any sensational views. However, after you have crossed it, take the first turnoff to the town of Millau situated on the banks of the Tarn below the viaduct. A good lunch can be had there, followed by a drive on the road to Albi which goes UNDER the viaduct, and gives a much better idea of its size. There are plenty of places to stop for sightseeing there: On the other hand, you are not allowed to stop ON the viaduct. Further, while the roads leading to the viaduct are toll-free, there is a toll to cross the structure. (About €5?)

The best view of the bridge may not be while driving on it but I still remember the thrill of driving over that thing. It's something between a musical instrument and a tight rope. I could kick myself for not going to see it again the last time I was in the south of France. Truly visceral architecture and engineering.
