Things to do in London now
...Besides, as the late great CW would have said, the bleedin' obvious.
At the Ambassadors Theatre, Ava Pickett's stunning play 1536. Three young women are friends in the countryside outside London during the time Anne Boleyn was imprisoned and executed. Funny and heartbreaking.

One effective set for dramatic scene changes.
If you can, do catch tickets for Almeida Theatre production of Ibsen's A Doll's House. I thought it was sold out, but my daughter Hannah found two tickets. Sex, cocaine, finance bros. Romola Garai was just wonderful as Nora.
Why not go see Banksy's statue Blinded by the Flag near St James Park? When we were there, a woman asked crowd members for a word that she then interpreted in song. We managed to avoid being asked..

Djangology Café's outside terrace is closed while they are redoing the river side of the Tate Britain. When it's too stuffy to sit inside, head a block upriver to Café Society, and luck into a table with a view. Apparently tthe MI6 building is opposite.

If you go to Regent's Park Open Air theatre chaotic production of Sherlock Holmes, bundle up. It has a mashup of several Holmes stories, a fun bit of a mess. For the last preview night we were there it was too chilly for us to stay after the interval.
Leaving the theatre, making our way toward Euston Road was magical. We could have been in an enchanted forest, with bird songs, twinkling lights, The feeling of being far from everywhere.

Roses just beginning.

Have the poet in Trafalgar Square write you one. With his index fingers he frantically tapped me out one satisfying page. His manual typewriter sound added to the experience. Requested theme: the passing of time. I gave him a fiver.
