ciga, et.al. how far from Nimes is the Millau Bridge (tallest bridge in the world)
I read in some past post that you got to go to this bridge, could you elaborate? Also, we are planning to visit the Roam ruins in Nimes; how far is it from the area?

Go to mappy.com and put in Nîmes as your departure point and Millau Bridge as your destination--that will give you the information you want, and a whole lot more besides. The bridge is really spectacular!

it's about an hour from Nimes. We drove over it twice and around the area, getting different views and found a hotel to stay the night. Peter and I bouth have a few pictures but I don't know how to isilate them for here?

I may bite the bullet and drive the extra miles from Nimes. As an engineer, I would hate the idea of being that close to such engineering marvel and not checking it out. What I also love it that it appears to have been constructed with minimal environmental impact to the natural geography. Obviously, such structure is not meant to be there 
but it is such an amazing accomplishment for both the French Engineer and the British architect who designed it.
