Problems with Venere.com
I have a reservation made through Venere.com. I've written Venere customer service 3 times with no response. Concerned about my reservation when they hadn't responded to my emails. Anybody have problems having them get back to you?

Hi
Have you tried logging in to check your reservation - https://secure.venere.com/user/index...=en&ref=118048. Apparently this portal claims you can "View and cancel your reservations".

Problem for me is they just don't get back to me! If I really had a pressing issue, I would be really pissed, now I'm just annoyed.
I will contact the hotel directly and complain about Venere.com's poor customer service to them as well.

Have the reservation. There is no info on type of payment. Somehow, somewhere I thought I had read they accepted cash only, no credit cards. No info on my reservation or the website. Do I need a couple of hundred euros ASAP as soon as I land or can I check in with a credit card and then find an ATM?
So yes, not a critical question, but my train tics are all paid for, my cruise is paid for, my city metro passes are bought, my entry tics are paid for. All I need money for is misc. So I have this one tiny detail that I am trying to get an answer to, with no success, is annoying.
I plan on contacting the hotel directly. I wish I could cancel my reservation and go through my usual of booking.com but I made the reservation so long ago the room is now double what I am paying.
Thanks for all your responses.

OK, stop stressing out!
First, cash or CC is a hotel policy, not a venere policy, so you should be asking the hotel. Or better, checking their website.
Second, although there are some hotels that require payment at check-in, the majority don't. Even if they do, I am quite sure they will hold your bags and point you to the nearest ATM. They may even check you in and then point you to the nearest ATM.

I would think it might be difficult to get them to respond so quickly to questions about hotels, they are mainly a booking service, after all. But the terms on their website tells you about these things, either you have a prepaid rate or not, and then in the "policies" section it tells you what the hotel requires about payment, upon arrival, etc. It would be nice if that were repeated on your reservation, I guess.

Wow. a simple text to the hotel has always solved any issues I had or specific questions about the amenities of the hotel. Why cant you just text the hotel in Italy? I did that many times and always got fast replies from Italian hotels, even with the time difference.
