A question about quikbook
Hi !
I'm going to Las Vegas at the beginning of
December and decided to reserve the room for
4 nights from Quikbook, because I got a great rate at Harrah's from them. I paid only $30/night. I thought that was pretty good, (is it ??) altough I'm aware Harrah's is no Bellagio or Venetian.
I had to pay in advance though, and since this was my first time using Quikbook, I now wonder how to handle the check-in at the hotel ? I didn't get any reservation number or e-mail or anything from Quikbook, which I could show when checking in. Does the hotel
have my information already, and only telling them I have a paid reservation is enough ? This may sound a bit stupid, but because I haven't done this before, and I'm traveling all the way from Finland, I'd like my hotel reservations to be as they are
supposed to be !!
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sepe,
It's been a couple of months since I have used QB but my recollection is that they provide you with a confirmation # to use at the hotel. I have also called the hotel directly to make sure that my reservation "stuck." Realizing that calls might be costly, have you tried contacting either the hotel or QB by mail.
FWIW, I've never had something go wrong with QB.
Good luck.

I used Quikbook this summer. From what I understand, you will first get an email with a confirmation number form Quikbook, and then within 72 hours you should get a another email from them containing the confirmation number from the hotel directly (which will be a different number) along with the Quikbook number.

missjanna and others are correct: you ALWAYS get a confirmation message and followup email to confirm the booking. If you didn't get one, I'd get on the phone with QB and see if they have your reservation.
(BTW, they do have a phone number, and they do answer calls.)

I used Quikbook for my hotel in NY in September. I didn't immediately get a confirmation number for the hotel and didn't realise until the day I flew out from Australia. I sent an email and got a response very quickly. Luckily we were cruising Alaska first so there was time to make verbal contact if required. However, despite the panic, the hotel in NY didn't even ask for any confirmation number. All they asked for was my name and a credit card - that was it,- very easy.
