Looks like a good choice, actually. Hope it works out fine. It is true this isn't prime tourist season yet, not like May through September, probably. I think people who want apartments are somewhat different than hotels, also -- businesspeople won't be renting these apartments, for one thing.

We stayed around the corner 2 years ago - if you want to pick up a few groceries there's a Monoprix on Ave de l'Opera and Rue de Ventadour - supermarket is in the basement.
24 hour groceries/wine east on Rue des Petit Champs 2 or 3 blocks on the south side.

thanks for coming back to let us know - look forward to hearing how it turns out, both the property and the company.
BTW, does it really have two bathrooms? According to the site it has 2 WC's but only one bathroom. Does look like the bathroom has both a tub and separate shower.
Safe travels!

Thanks for your good wishes. And thank you Elizabeth for supermarket info.
Seamus, sorry, when I said 2 bathrooms, I meant 2 toilets - essential for 5 people, especially four of them being kids! All other bathroom issues don't fall into emergency category- they just require patience which is not a bad thing to practice...
I'll let you know how it turns out.

BTW if you don't already know about it, Rue Saint Anne is a place with great Japanese food And there is also this intriguing restaurant / boulangerie I want to try out called Aki:

It is a fun area-be sure to go walking in the Palais Royale garden area-it is a nice place to hang out.

Wow, jpie, I checked out the link you posted to Aki boulangerie- thank you. I think that will have to be our first stop... I'm also addicted to sushi, as are my kids, so now location looks even better! Thank you!

Also on rue de petit champs is a small friendly restaurant called aux bons cru.
The owner Luke is English and his manager Malika is charming.. Delicious food (confit, roasts, fish, etc) and family friendly. this link has a discount offer too
