Any apartment suggestions for Conil?

Has anyone ever rented an apartment in Conil de la Frontera or vicinity before? I am looking for a good recommendation for a 2 bedroom apt with pool. I have scoured the Internet but most don't have a pool (pool is for my daughter who is afraid to go into the sea). We would like to be near the beach and Conil town if possible. I see many apt ads in the area called Atalaya but the apt photos look cramped and the pool area looks boring. If any one has experience with Atalaya or other places, would be happy to hear about it. Thanks.

Munich,
There are hundreds of apt in a place called "Novo Sancti Petri" , this is basically the same beach as Conil but about 5 Km towards the West.
I remember the apartments called "Las dunas" with beach acces and week rentals.

Munich-- I am renting a villa in Chiclana de la Frontera, not too far. I have dealt with Holiday- rentals.com and have no complaints whatsoever. There are many properties that meet your specs on that area. Clarification: a rental apartment typically have a community pool; are you looking for a dedicated pool? Also, a pool area is typically set up to allow relaxation while sunbathing. What do you mean by "boring"?

If you want, I can provide you the name and e-mail of the specific person (British expat living in the Chiclana) who manages rentals properties in that area. Her and husband were wonderful to worked with.

Viajero2 - yes, please provide me with your contact in Chiclana - do they have a website. We had decided on Conil but since Chiclana isn't so far away, I'll have a look. Communal pool in the apartment complex is ok. What I meant by boring pool is when I looked at the website photos, all I saw was a rectangular pool plonk in the middle of green, worn out in most places from use. No sun-loungers or any kind of shade.
Many thanks!

DH and I stayed in Conil four years ago and just loved it. The town is a bit unprepossessing as you arrive into it, but the old town area is quaint and fun and the beach is gorgeous. The only downside was the incessant wind that they get all along the Costa de la Luz.

We stayed here - http://www.jabegaconil.es/
- but they don't have a pool. We really enjoyed staying there and the location was good for the beach and the town.

Enjoy Conil - I'd love to go back some day.

Hey Munich!

The name and e-mail of my contact in Chiclana is Graham and Angela Rhodes, [email protected], phone number 00 334 664 623 893.

By the way, there are 86 properties listed for rent at Conil de la Frontera; check the site:

Best of luck!

Munich,
While Conil is on the beach , Chiclana (the town) is not on the beach, or at a walking distance.
if you want to be by the beach, then the places to look are,
La Barrosa , Sancti petri and Novo Sancti Petri. This are the beaches in Chiclana County.

The location of the house we are renting is at Chiclana de La Frontera and it is 1 km. from the beach La Barrosa, which is, at least to me, definitely walking distance.

I agree that if you stay down towards the town centre it is not near a beach, but La Barrosa beach can definitely be reach from sectors (i.e. Las Galindas)considered to be Chiclana de La Frontera. At least, that's what my old neighbor who grew up there recalls....
