Sands in T@C
we are getting ready to make reservations at the Sands and before we do I thought I'd check something out with you. We will be getting an oceanfront room on the 2nd or 3rd floor and I'm just wondering if the view is the same from all of them? Are they equally as good? It's not a biggy but I thought if one was better than another and I could request it,why not?

Hi xxxx,
No, the view is not the same from all of the buildings, but it is better on the third as opposed to 2nd floor.
You can find a map of the five buildings on the sandsresort.com website, and choose which building you would prefer. (Not all buildings have all room categories.)
We just returned from 2 weeks there, and enjoyed it immensely - a beautiful property with a great restaurant, lush lanscaping, the best beach on Provo and wonderfully friendly employees.
I got an absolutely fantastic rate on a flight/room package on Travelocity.

THIRD FLOOR!!!! We stayed in a third floor (unfortunately I can't remember the exact room #) but we had a completely unobstructed view of the water and most importantly, the sunset. It was truly amazing. We had an 800 sq ft. balcony (screened in) that wrapped around from the livingroom to the bedroom. It was fabulous!!!
We stayed at the Sands. We did not have an oceanfront room, but were in the first building so we were up close. I'd love to have that view, but no biggie - you're steps from the water. It's fabulous! We sat on the beach under the little tiki huts every night and drank champagne. Just beware of bugs! In September we got absolutely chewed sitting out there at night by the no-see-ums. Be sure to bring bug spray...

In regards to your questions, the rooms right on the ocean had fantastic views and if I could have splurged, I would have.
