Can someone suggest an Ocean View room at Caneel Bay?

What is the difference between the premium ocean view rooms and the regular ocean view rooms besides the location?

Regular OV are back from the water. Premium OV are on Cottage Point, on the water (not beach), with unobstructed views towards St.Thomas, but you have a short walk to Caneel or Scott Beach. If you want to stay ON the beach, as in spill out of the room onto the sand, you have to be
"Beachfront" or higher. Best views are from Cottage Point. Best value for being ON the beach are 106-129 on Hawksnest (odd down, even up for more privacy). Can't comment on 7A, except ocean view will be marginal if it is priced that way.

Premium Ocean View - 2 rooms per cottage, priate and great scenic views. Regular ocean view are many more room per building but have ocean views and are close to but not directly to the beach.

Cottage # 7 includes rooms A - F. Some are ground level and other are second floor. Some face the ocean, while others have more of a side view of the ocean. I cannot remember the particular location of each. #7 is located on a hill and offers a scenic view, and yet, is very close to both Paradise and Scotts beaches.
I have not stayed in any of these rooms,so I cxannotgive an insider's view of the interiors.

Hawks Nest-second floor 108-120 are the best based on 3 stays there. Scott Beach is not worth the extra money.
DO NOT stay in Cottage 7 A, B or C you will pay the same as D, E or F but your pleasure will be 75% better.

If you casnnot get D, E, or F go for Hawks Nest and save $500-$600 over a 6-7 night stay.
