Bali Four Seasons Sayan - which (regular) villa is the best?

We'll be staying at one of the (regular) villas at the Bali FS Sayan, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good villa to request for nice views.

Thanks!
Kat

I'm not being facious by saying they all have a nice view, from the one we had there was an unobstructued view of the river. And the view from the bar/resturant exceptional.

Hi Z,

Would you happen to remember the number of your villa?

Thanks a lot,
Kat

Last time any of my friends stayed at the FS, they had to get the staff to get rid of a poisonous snake they found in their villa. They AIN'T going back there *g*. Specially as the staff were unsuccessful, and the snake simply disappeared.

How'd they know it was poisonous? I ask this because although snakes (and lizards and frogs) are plentiful in Bali poisonous ones are extremely rare.

Hi Mitch04,

Was the snake at the FS Sayan or FS Jambaran?

Thanks,
Kat

Whoops!!! My mistake!! It was Jimbaran FS. It was a green snake (which they were told was poisonous). We actually had pre-book alternative accommodation at Jimbaran - the Pansea - which was excellent (although the meals were expensive but very high quality). The same friends also stayed at the Amandari, which they adored. Expensive though. Makes FS look cheap *grins*

I would also like to ask a question concerning the villas at Sayan. Some of the villas are connected, are they just as private as the ones that are not?

Katkat, I have a map of the property, I emailed Four Seasons and they faxed me a map. I can email you a copy or you can try emailing Four Seasons yourself. I have not been there either and was wondering the same thing. Maybe the map would help you.

For the Four Season Sayan I didn't track the number, but it was to the left of the lobby ~2 min walk down a trail & about 4 or 5 villas in (#22 comes to mind but that was >4 years ago). For Jambaron Bay they gave us a map with our villa # highlighted & we were #249 there.
