BALI VILLA WANTED

one of our loyal fodorites corresponded with me last year about a bali villa.....of course i have forgotten who it was and what the name of the villa is......if you read this can you make yourself known....

any suggestions for a villa with two master bedrooms would be appreciated....

this kind of dementia happens when you hang with gpanda too often....

it may have been fromDC?? or someone else from the DC area???

I see it sleeps 8, Bob.
So what are your dates, and should we meet you at the airport or at the Villa?

Lcuy-beware the Pandas will be in residence. It's my job to keep Bob from inciting an international incident. It's part of the new State Department initiative to develop better relations with the world. Think Bob and muzzle.

Hmm.. Bob chained up with a muzzle and the Panda standing there in a Speedo with a whip. What an image!

Yea, that picture doesn't sit too well in my brain....

I hear Bob is trying to develop better relations, one manager at a time. "Better" for who, we don't know!

In that case my Dominator friend my favourite is a Montecristo No. 2 torpedo. Smoke it while wearing a leather Speedo with an eye patch and a Nazi hat!

Montecristo is my favorite cigar. So the image is starting to come clearly into focus. Wouldn't a leather speedo shrink? Not a pleasant thought.

If you don't get it wet then it would not shrink or if you did get it wet then face the a/c and shrink with it!

FromDC,

I saw from a previous post that you had looked at Villas in Bali. Am thinking of renting one in mid March (I know - I am not giving myself much time!) and understand you've spent some time looking at it. Could you let me know which villas you looked at? Were you only looking in the Ubud area? What about Seminyak or Canggu? Thanks in advance!

DC---we have looked at seminyak and benoa and sanur and ubud...

there are so many choices...most seem to be part of a larger group of about 10 villas in one piece of property...

some we have interest in are:

villa K
puri tirta villas
villa kipis-- a favorite and the closest to the beach we think
villa uma sapna
villa semara--another favorite

there are others also....karen has her own list but she is not home now so i don't know where it is....beth has done tons of work looking also....gpanda has done NONE as usual...

we are looking at two king bedroom units ensuite..

we also hope to return to alam shanti in ubud area....it is the ultimate villa imo....

SuY-

Here is a list of reasonably priced Bali villas I've been saving in my favorites folder. All of these are <$250 per night....several are half that price or less!

www.tamuseseh.com (west bali, north of seminyak, walk to beach)

www.awalivilla.com/rates (west bali, north of seminyak)

www.villatujuh.com (a bit more $$$, but has a kiddie pool)

www.albiavilla.com/index.html

www.eastbalivillas.com (off the beaten track, looks amazing for the price)

www.mandaladesa.com (south of Ubud)

www.blancaubud.com (ubud area)
www.balivillaparadise.com (ubud)

www.gayatrivilla.com/english/villapratiwi.html (ubud)

www.villacasis.com (sanur, south bali)

sariamertha.com (north bali, beachfront)
