AA Admiral Club admittance questions
A few days ago my daughter and I were traveling, making a 3 hrs layover stop in Chicago (domestic flight). I stopped by the AC thinking they might give us a pass, being I had PURCHASED two 1st class tickets, no mileage used!! I tried with all my might, but in the end, she said only for a fee of $50 + $25 for the daily pass.
So, for future reference, is there ANY way to obtain a pass if one doesn't have the necessary credentials?

purchase a yearly membership or,
if you have mid level or top tier status (Platinum or Executive Platinum) traveling on a long haul international OneWorld itn, or,
traveling on a non-stop trans-con F ticket or F award ticket, i.e. JFK-LAX or JFK-SFO or something similar, or
or pay the daily pass.....
(there may be another way or 2, but the above basically covers the basics).

so, is the club really for anyone 18 yrs. or older? My 15 yr. old and I have a 5 hr. layover at DFW before heading to CDG and were hoping to buy day passes but don't think I can. Do they ID or just look someone over to determine the age? Just wondering....

did anybody say Europe and first or business class?
The OP clearly stated it was a domestic F ticket with a connection in ORD.
and the other poster said s/he is going to Paris with the 15 year old daughter, but never mentioned business class (AA flies only 2 class planes to Paris so no F).
