Staying at this inconspicuous 1930 former apartment building near Robson Street and Stanley Park is about as near as you can get to feeling like a West End resident. Six apartment-size suites are furnished in a mix of modern and art deco styles with cathedral ceilings, inlaid-oak floors, and French doors. Each has a full kitchen, a dining area, and a feather bed. Maid service is an optional extra and rates include a free gym membership to a club on nearby Denman Street. This is a quiet neighborhood, but there's always the possibility the fire station across the road might disturb your sleep. Pros: Feel like a Vancouver resident. Cons: But a resident who has no vote!
