Honeymoon in Mexico in early September?

I've found a hotel that looks wonderful for a honeymoon, the Capella Ixtapa. However, is the beginning of September a good time to go to Mexico weather wise? I would hate it to rain all the time. We would be there from the 30th August to the 10th September.

It will be Very Very hot & humid & chances are it will most likely rain. Now it may just rain at night or it might all day long. No way to know.
Many of the nicer restaurants will be closed as that's the month they give their employees off plus do repairs.
I love Mexico & have a home in the area you are going to but I never am there in September as just too uncomfortable.
You might consider Mountain Mexico with almost ideal weather that time of the year. The Quinta Real in Guadalajara is IMO the finest hotel in all of Mexico. Lovely huge suites & their philosophy is Never tell a quest no! We had our perfect Luna de Miel (honeymoon) there in 1998. We return as often as possible. Great restaurants, sights, tours, shopping there.
If your heart is on a beach honeymoon go to Hawaii.

I love Mexico but would not pick it for a September honeymoon. It will be hot, humid, and is the rainy season along the coast. I agree with the suggestion of Hawaii instead because of the time of year.

Ditto to both. September is just brutal on the coast. But Guadalajara or San Miguel in September would be, weather-wise, fantastic. Cool and maybe an occasional light afternoon shower.

Depends which side of Mexico you are on. The hurricane thing is more common to the Caribbean side, more rare on the Pacific side.
