Couples Swept Away OR Sandals Negril?

My husband and I are planning to return to Jamaica for our 7th time in December - can't wait! We love Jamaica and all inclusive adult resorts. So far we have stayed at Grand Lido Negril, Sandals Royal Caribbean (MoBay), Club Ambiance (Runaway Bay), Point Village (Negril), Couples Negril, and Couples Swept Away. We really enjoyed our stay at Swept Away but we're wondering if we should give Sandals Negril a try before returning to some where we've already been. If anyone has stayed at Couples and Sandals in Negril and could give us a comparison we would really appreciate your thoughts and opinions. Thanks in advance!

Try putting your same post on www.tropictravelonline.com, as there are many people here who travel to those resorts and can give you good feedback. We have been to both Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Negril. Sandals Negril is very laid back, loved the beach and the food was very good, only complaint was is it very close to the road and at night you do get alot of traffic noise depending on what room you are in.

I have never stayed at Couples Swept Away but did stay at Sandals Negril in 2004. So far, it was my least favorite Sandals, in that I thought it was too small. Unless they have renovated, the pools were extremely small for the amt of rooms and the beach area was small. I love wide extensive beaches and I was a little disappointed with the beach at Sandals Negril. Yes the resort is extremely "laid back" but the food was good and we loved our room (ocean front and you could hear the waves at night, very romantic) For my $$$ I would go to Sandals Whitehouse, new resort with lots of sit down restaurants and on a Massive White Beach.

Have fun in Jamaica

We ran into a couple at the airport who split their time between Half Moon in MoBay and Sandals Negril. Their description in their words of Sandals Negril was Redneck Riviera. They said it was very loud, many drunks, etc and Half Moon was high class and beautiful. They loved Half Moon. I'm not a big AI person, but I thought you might appreciate that opinion as for some Redneck Riviera sounds perfect.
