Where to stay in Niagra Falls?

We are going at the end of April and know we should stay on the Canadian side, but which has best views, is most convenient and nicest. Also let me know of any bad places so we won't get stuck> Thanks.

Don't stay at the Knights Inn on Lundy's Lane. The TV had poor reception, the room was dusty and had cobwebs and a buzzing fly. Yuck!

We have stayed at most of the canadian hotels with a good view of the falls and I think the best view is at the Sheraton on the Falls. In April it will probably run about $200can per night for a fallsview room. This hotel is closer to the american falls, though you get a view of both. Others, like the Oakes, Marriott Fallsview, Embassy Suites, and Minolta Tower are closer to the horseshoe falls. All will be pricey but you are going during an off-peak month which should help. If you like to gamble, there are also fallsview rooms at the new Fallsview Casino for around $220can.

Have a great trip.

We stayed at one of the Sheraton's - can't tell which from the name since they're similar. But it had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the floodlit falls (actually there's a small park in between but you don;t see it except from the lowest floors).

The rooms were a nice size and each had a seating area with a fake fireplace (that is the fire was fake). Very cute - and I think we got it midsummer for like $119 (we're Sheraton members) along with a very ignorable free breakfast.

We stayed at Niagara-on-the-Lake. A very charming town/village a few miles from the Falls. Spent one day at the Falls, and thought it was plenty of time.

Here's another vote for "Sheraton on the Falls."
