niagara falls hotels

I posted this on the Canada board, but I am reposting it here:

Am trying to decide between the Marriott Fallsview and the Embassy Suites. We're going with our 19 year old daughter. Embassy Suites seems to get mixed reviews on Trip Advisor.

You did not ask for another but I wanted to give my opinion.

Sheraton on the Falls is my favorite: http://www.niagarafallshotels.com/sheraton/

We stayed at the Marriott Falls View last year and it was a nice Marriott with a great view of the falls. We got a suite with a little sitting area and 2 queens sized beds.

CD--Why do you like the Sheraton the best? They all seem to boast best views, closest to the falls, etc. so it's hard to tell....

Hi jag1
There are two Sheraton's on the Canadian side but Sheraton on the Falls is the closest to the Falls of any hotel. We stayed at the Brock which is next door to the Sheraton on the Falls and had a terrific view. However, we decided when we come back we would stay at Sheraton on the Falls. You are just across the street from the Falls and the views are great if you ask for a Fallsview view. You can see the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls from your room and they are lighted at night,it simply is the closest and you can walk across the street to the Maid of the Mist. Your daughter might like the night life of touristy things to do outside your door.
