waikiki. aqua honolulu prince or breakers?

decided to go "cheap" because the 3 and 4 stars are big bucks! breakers gets great reviews ( and suze likes), $125/nt. aqua honolul prince is #3 on tripadvisor with nice reviews, $79. i'm leaning towards the $79. any opinions?

I think YOU should try the Prince then let me know how it turns out

because I need to find a cheaper hotel room in Waikiki than even the Breakers or Hawaiiana, which yes, I really do like!

The Prince is a lovely hotel and good value. I wasn't crazy about the location, it was a little farther from the beach than I would have liked.

Everyone says they are 2 blocks from the beach LOL! Honolulu Prince is back by the Ala Wai Canal on Walina, right? I call that more like 6+ blocks.

Honolulu Prince is 2 blocks from the beach if you cut through International Market Place. 2/12-3 blocks if you go around International Marketplace.
