Three best restaurants in Maui

Hi :
We are in Maui for 10 days for a wedding. We have put aside 3 or 4 nights for eating at nice places for dinner. We eat in our condo the rest and one night for the wedding dinners. Which restaurants should we go to?
We love seafood, good quality and good portions. Price is not a problem. Thanks!!
Helen

First off, consider eating at the bar which is always a great way to meet the locals and other tourists. I would suggest, our favorites being....Nicks at Kea Lani...a return visit..impecable service and great food...this place knows what they are doing.....Spago's at 4 Seasons....we had two wonderful nights there! We went to Mama's for lunch and you won't get a deal by going for lunch. We shared and app and entree which were really priced like dinner, but wonderful and worth every penny!! Always thought it was a tourist trap but the food rang true! Hailimaile is always a must for us. If you go get the salmon/tuna/taro house special app--simply outrageious, and it is a great excuse to get away from the tourist trap and go upcountry.b GL

I've always had wonderful meals at Mama's Fish House in Paia and Longhi's in Lahaina.

Roys and Sansei (both Asian inspired menus) would be my first 2 choices. I really thought all the other places we sampled last month were not up to those two.

I'd vote for Roys.

Hi, Mama's Fish House for sure...and going at lunch is great, because the windsurfing beach is just beyond. After lunch, go out & sit on the seawall & watch those guys do their stuff...incredible!
There are a lot of good restaurants on Maui, so you really have a good start on a list...be sure to add to it when you return. Have a great time. Linda

Have to agree with Mama's Fish House. It's fabulous. Here's their website: http://www.mamasfishhouse.com/

My favorite restaurant on Maui is I'O on Front Street in Lahaina - great seafood. I also liked Roy's (although I did not think it was as good as the Oahu one) and Sansei, but these two lack the oceanfront atmosphere if that's something that you're looking for. Most disappointing meal for us was at Haliimaile General Store - after hearing all of the good reviews, we found the food rather mediocre.
