Even the ocean view rooms aren't really that great view-wise. That is, you can pay a lot more for OV, but unlike some hotels where OV gives you a full, up close ocean front location and view, not so at the Hyatt.

I liked being near the pool, requested this and was lucky enough to get it when the hotel was booked solid.

True about ocean view, hotel is not ocean front so it does not pay to request Ocean Front.

Go to opinions.com some reviews pinpoint areas to request.

Agree with others...My $400+ ocean front room was just barely ocean view! And the hotel knows it...

When I went to the desk to complain they were nice about it and in 2 days they found a better room (still not OF), but what really clued me in was that there were 3 other people in line with the same complaint...can you say Hyatt scam?

Mike $400 was what I paid at the Hyatt less a triple discount. We were told that was the price for a garden room.

I liked being close to the pool also. We were on ground level, which due to the way the buildings are laid out, I think it was considered third floor. If I ever go back, I'll ask for something higher, only because I hate air conditioning and like to sleep with just the screen closed. Didn't seem like a good idea on ground level.

Jean they had all night security stay at the pool and I saw a lot of rooms on the ground floor sleeping with the screens only. BTW we also paid $350 with a AAA discount and were told that the room was a garden view.

When I looked at the map of where our room was I told my guest that our room was in the next town but it was actually just behind the water slide perfect, we had a youngen with us.
