Park City Special Restaurant Wanted

I'll be in Park City for my birthday this year, the first week of October. I need help finding a restaurant that's small, loads of atmosphere, creative chef, excellent service.

While I have you here, have the leaves turned red already? I heard they were early this year.

Mariposa is wonderful. I have only been to Park City in January so can't comment on the status of the leaves. I can say that both times at Mariposa have been outstanding.

Leave are starting to change a bit now...by the first of Oct.should better.
Mariposa is good. However, there are many others. If you go to Parkcity.com you will find others.
Some that come to mind
Adolf's
Goldner Hirsch
River Horse
Grappa's
New one upstairs at the Park City Mall
Chez Betty.

Thank you for the suggestions. I went to Parkcity.com and it's between Riverhorse and Tree Room at Sundance.

I'll save the other restaurant suggestions for the rest of the week.

Hi Madwen,

Yes, the leaves have turned, but not all the aspens are golden so far.

If you are set on choosing between Riverhorse and The Tree Room for your birthday - I recommend the Tree Room hands down!! You are aware that it will be an hour drive one way from Park City? Personally, I think Riverhorse is overrated. Noisy, overpriced, and the service is slow.

If it were me, I would choose either Grappa or the Goldener Hirsch. The two best restaurants in Park City or Deer Valley. Be sure to grab a Park Record (local newspaper) and get a "two fer" coupon. All the restaurants have specials in the off season.

Happy birthday!

I would absolutely concur with Dayle. The Tree Room hands down! I would think ot quite an hour drive one way, maybe 45 minutes. However, the Tree Room is excellent, and with the fall Autumn colors, and the imposing view of Mt. Timpanogos in the background, Sundance is breathtaking. It is well worth the drive.

Okay, the Tree Room it is. I just made my reservation. A one hour drive is nothing. My better half's favorite part of any vacation is the rental car with unlimited mileage.

Will there be any "two fer" coupons for Grappa, Chez Betty or Goldener Hirsch?

Good choice! Grappa and Goldner Hirsch are both having specials. Haven't seen anything for Chez Betty.

Say hi to Bob.
