Outrigger Waikiki
Has anyone who has stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki comment on whether the oceanfront rooms were noisy at night due to noise from Duke's? I am trying to decide between oceanfront, ocean view and partial ocean view. Am leaning toward ocean front or ocean view, but just wonder about noise for oceanfront. Thanks

Hi,
DH and I stayed at the Outrigger this past August and loved it! We were in an ocean view on the 5th floor and did not find it noisy at all. We slept with the AC on and the balcony door shut, though. It is busy in front of the Outrigger, lots of ppl at night, at Duke's and just walking around enjoying the beach and swimming. Great hotel!

We also had a suite on the 5th floor at the Outrigger Waikiki last February. The only time Duke's was loud at all was on Sunday afternoon when they closed the pool and had a Sunday concert. It only lasted about an hour through sunset, and we enjoyed sitting on our lanai, listening to the island music, drinking our mai tai's we made in the room. Nighttime was quiet after around 8-9 pm, we never had a problem with the noise.
