Omaha Steaks - Good?

I recently went to Omaha to meet with a customer. Today I received 6 Rib-Eyes from Omaha Steaks as a Thank you gift!
Are they good?
I am considering using them for a special B-Day meal if they are really good. If not, I'll save them for home use and buy good steaks here in Dallas.
Any opinions?

Do use them for that special meal.

If you decide to order I can also vouch
for their stuffed sole
& the salmon selections.

TTP......Due to a very little known ban on beef importation into the state of Tejas, you may NOT keep the beef. Please proceed immediately without further ado to the nearest UPS store and forward the merchandise to me.......Actually I consider anything from OS the same as anything from Harry and David--gourmet and great. The beef I have had was as fresh as from any butcher counter anywhere and very flavorful.Enjoy!

The meat from Omaha Steaks are usually top-notch and we eagerly look forward to our annual replenishment from one of my wife's clients.

I have YET to forgive my wife's brother for eating all 8 of the ones we had in our freezer while we were on our honeymoon. As he said "Those steaks were really, really good."

OS beef is typically USDA Prime, Choice at least, and dry aged. That means that they will be comparable to what you get in a fine steakhouse. The quality and aging is what makes them stand out. Ever wonder why you can't replicate that great steak you get out at home? That's why. Also, it helps if you have a broiler that can heat up to 1600 degrees.

Take Care,

OMG, I am sooooo excited now!!!
Thanks for all the wonderful feedback!
I was a little disappointed because I was hoping for a ham, or something more 'Thanksgiving' but this sounds like it's gonna be even better!
I so agree about Harry and David.
I have Royal Riviera Pears on my permanent Christmas list. I guard them like the crown jewels once I have them and almost cry when they are gone.
Y'all have a great Thanksgiving!

Yum yum. Even those of us living in Nebraska get excited when an Omaha Steaks package makes its way to our door. Even their burgers are top notch. Happy dining!

My wife just clipped a coupon for Omaha steaks. Six 6-oz sirlion steaks on "special" for $30, plus $10 shipping. That's $40 for 3 lbs of sirloin -- $13.33 a lb for sirloin???

I can buy Angus tenderloin for less than that. Just how good is this sirloin?

My DH, without my knowledge, ordered sirlion steaks and burgers that were offered as a OS promotion - I think the free steak knives were very appealing to him. However, we both thought that the steaks from our local butcher were better (these were a little dry) and more cost effective. The burgers were pretty good. But hey, if you get them as a gift, that's great - enjoy.

As I said above, I LOVE Omaha Steaks products. We ordered their filet mignon for quite awhile, until we discovered the filets at Costco. Both are wonderful...... Costco's are definitely cheaper for us so that's where we buy them now, and they may be the best filets I've ever eaten.

The Omaha Steakburgers are THE BEST ground beef. My sister and I thaw them, and use them in our spaghetti sauce!

I don't want to be the only negative poster, but the Omaha steaks were great the first few years I ordered them for family and friends. And then I tried Kansas City steaks... really excellent!

JackB, my sister is an Omaha Steaks regular customer, and she decided to try the Kansas City Steaks when QVC had them as a special. She didn't like them nearly as much, she said. Oh, well, different strokes and all that.........
