Oktoberfest - Cape Coral

Looking for the opinions from anyone who has been to Oktoberfest in Cape Coral. Is it worth an hour drive?

We went last year with a group of neighbors and also travelled about an hour. We had a very good time sampling foods, watching native dancers and of course drinking beer. However our day was unusually hot and humid. There was only one area (an indoor restaurant/pub) that was air conditioned and it was packed. So I'd avoid going if that type of weather is predicted.

Thank you!

Do you think it would be interesting to a 15 year old boy?

We used to live in Cape Coral. We went once and it was enough. Fun, but very hot. I don't think a 15 year old would appreciate it much however.

The Oktoberfests in Munich are definitely not geared toward teenagers and it's because if the drinking and rowdiness.

If you were deteremined to take the 15 yr old then perhaps you would consider the time period right when they open. There won't be many drunks that early. Also leave early too.

We found the Octoberfest to be amateurish and dull. Horrible food, ratty costumes, etc. It has been in this location for years and I have been dragged every four years or so to find it little changed. Went last year and vowed never again.

There are kids there during the day but I would think they would find it dorky. Average age would be mid to upper 60's.

Thanks for all the advice!

We have decided to see 38 Special in Arcadia, instead.
