Most romantic cannon beach lodging?
We are pretty well set on going to Cannon Beach for our 30th wedding anniversary. Would like to stay at the recommended Stefanie Inn, but cannot swallow their prices of $389 and up for oceanview rooms. Would like some recommendations for the next best place. We want to be located on the ocean, with a balcony, and be able to hear the ocean from our room. Any help please?

Your next bet bet is a newer place literally right next door to Stefanie Inn..caled Schooners Cove.
I have not stayed there so I can not recommend as I have the other 3 suggestions I provided on your previous post...

1JAR, I don't think Schooners Cove is next to the Stephanie, I think it's in town (whereas the Stephanie is a mile or so south of town). The Ocean Lodge may be the place you're thinking of, it's right next to (just south of) the Stephanie.
Tara, I'd look the Ocean Lodge, their rates tend to be about $50-100 less per night than the Stephanie. It's a more low key place, more modern, sparse decor, a little more beachy feel to it, but still very nice.

Yes, it is the Ocean Lodge that is next to Stephanie Inn.
One place that we absolutely love in Cannon Beach is the Surfsand Resort. It is oceanfront and a bit less expensive than Stephanie Inn. I love the location as it is close to Haystack Rock, but is just a short walk to the heart of downtown. So the best of both worlds, IMO. They have a good onsite restaurant (The Wayfarer) as well.

The one drawback for me about the Ocean Lodge is that you cannot walk into town from there. There are no sidewalks along the way and it is along a narrow, windy road. I mention this so you can take that into consideration for what you are looking for.

When I stayed at the Ocean Lodge, I walked along the beach into town. You wouldn't want to do that if you were dressed for dinner, but during the day it's an easy walk...I don't remember it taking very long, maybe 20-30 minutes? But for dinner, I drove in to town...parking isn't too bad in the evenings (unlike during the day when it can be tough).
But the Surfsand is a shorter walk, for sure.
