Millennium Broadway - Times Square

Has anyone stayed at this hotel, and do you recommend it?

Yes, and Yes! The rooms are nice and fairly spacious, esp. by NY standards.
It is just off of Broadway so while being convenient it is slightly removed from all of the hustle and bustle. Virgil's BBQ and a good French restauarnt (can't remember the name though) is directly across the street.

amyb - I've read before that hotels give room upgrades. How do you go about getting one? Do you ask at the front desk while checking in?

Check www.travelzoo.com. They have this hotel listed for offers until December.

SR -- I didn't have to ask. For some reason, as soon as I present my AAA card, it happens. I don't know if it's coincidence or the fact that it's AAA, but it's happened a few times now.

It's been a few years since I have stayed there, but I would recommend it. I also thought that the restaurant there in the hotel was excellent also.
