lost luggage american airlines

can you believe this?a.a. checked my louis vuitton duffle in and then it dissapeared. never sent to london ,never got on plane. IS a.a. running a scam and do they have a fence. seems to me that the presidents office in texas couldnt have cared less. never mind the incompedent suprevisors in heathrow.dont use this airline just found out they have the highest loss ratio of any airline.

Jeez, I'm sorry. I hope it did not have your spelling and grammar book in it...

(Sorry, it's Friday, and I've been into the Chardonnay.)

On a more serious note, the few times AA has lost or misplaced our luggage, we have always gotten it back within the next few days.

Sorry for your problem, but one piece of lost luggage hardly indicates a scam or scandal in operation.

I keep reading that it's a good idea not to check expensive luggage--it's an invitation for theft.

Isn't American Airlines also the alrgest airline? We don't qualify as real frequent flyers, but do go on at least six trips a year. Usually on American, no lost luggage yet.

Is this a surprise? Of course airlines lose luggage - they do it all the time. And AA is well known for having NO customer service.

This is not a scam - you are way overestimatng their competence - they could never get organized enough to run a scam like this.

Look at it this way - you have just learned a good life lesson - never, never check anything valuable on any plane!

American never took responsibility for the lost luggage of 4 of our students which "disappeared" someplaced between AA in LAX and Cathay Pacific in LAX. If it hadn't been for Thai Airways who gave each girl $40. upon arrival in Bangkok they'd still be naked!! I don't check luggage with American -- ever.
