hotels at Zion National Park

Can anyone recommend were to stay at Zion NP? I was able to book one night at Zion lodge but it is full the other two nights I need. Anything close to the park? Thanks.

Springdale UT is right outside the main park entrance. You can ride the shuttle bus from the town to the visitor center, and transfer to the park shuttle. There is a huge range of choices. I just returned and stayed at the Bumbleberry Motel (see my trip report for more comments.) Have a great trip!

The Desert Pearl would be hard to beat. Accommodations are among the best we've ever seen in the price range amd it's very convenient to both town and the park.

Desert Pearl gets rave reviews here. We've stayed at Cliffrose, very close to the entrance to Zion, lovely grounds, pool, nice basic rooms. Not fancy, exceeded our needs--a place to lay our heads and clean up. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat if the Lodge in the park (where we've also stayed, and which would be our first choice) were not available.

I'll add a strong recommendation for the Desert Pearl. We stayed there a few years ago, after it received a favorable mention in Sunset magazine, and really loved it.

I would recommend staying all 3 nights in Springdale and skipping the night at Zion. The shuttle bus from town to the park entrance is easy. When I saw the lodge, I was glad we stayed outside of the park. It gets very hot during the day and the lodge does not have air-condition. The windows looked very small. We stayed at the Best Western Zion Park Inn.

amber, the Zion lodge does have air conditioning. We want to experience one night in the park itself. Have heard that it is wonderful to wake up right in the park.

My family and I stayed at the Majestic View Lodge in Springdale over spring break and we were very impressed. The rooms are wonderful--decorated in a rustic, western style with many thoughtful details. Every room has a balcony. We had dinner at their restaurant and thought the food was very good. If we ever go back to Zion, this is where we will stay!

The room I had at Bumbleberry Inn was in the last row, overlooking the Watchman range, and a small field with farm animals. I think I was just as happy there as I would have been at the Lodge.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems like many places are booked but I'll keep trying. Has anyone stayed at the Rodeway Inn?
