Lodging near Zion National Park
We planned to spend one night in Zion this summer in conjunction with our Vegas/Grand Canyon/Sedona vacation. I made our Grand Canyon reservations months ago, but unfortunately I waited too long to reserve in Zion park. What are some good nearby options? We are traveling with our eleven and nine year old grandchildren.
Thanks,
Arlene

(1) Yet another vote for Desert Pearl.
(2) Unlike at many national parks, I actually prefer hotels in the town of Springdale to the lodge in Zion National Park.
(3) If the Desert Pearl is full (or too expensive), there are a number of other good choices.

There is a very, very wide range of lodging in Springdale to fit most any budget. One place we particularly like is the Red Rock Inn - they have cabins that are really beautiful and they deliver breakfast to your door each morning in a picnic basket. We had a wonderful time here.

I've stayed in several differnt hotels in Springdale.
Desert Pearl is lovel, as stated above. LQ is cheaper and a good location.
My favorite I'd say is Cable Mtn Lodge due to the location. It is just a 2min walk from the entrance to Zion so no need to take the town shuttle to get to your hotel.

There are lots of good choices for lodging in Springdale, and no matter where you stay in town, you'll have full access to the shuttle to get you in the park with no hassle. Desert Pearl is nice and its a good location but there are many good options. Do a search for lodging, and be sure to choose one that is in town so you can walk to dinner and shops. Cable Mtn Lodge and Red Rock are both good choices as mentioned.
