Ft Lauderdale Family Hotel Help

Hi!
My family (2 adults/2 children) are looking for a good 3-4 star hotel on the beach that isn't too expensive. Is there anything out there that would meet that criteria? I don't need a "Ritz", but not a "Motel 6" either. Being on the beach is a must! Thanks for any and all help that anyone may give! Craig

How about Ireland's Inn? I have never been but it gets good reviews, is family-oriented, and not expensive.

We're going the week before you, and the rates at the Lago Mar, which is one of the best, is $149 AAA rate for a 1 BR suite. I'm not sure about Memorial day weekend, but check them out at Lagomar.com. If you do a search, you will find lots of info on this hotel.

We have stayed at a Best Western once called Pelligans Resort. It is about 3 stars and offered a nice breakfast. It sat on a great stretch of beach. We have also stayed at the Sheratan Yankee trader. It was somwhat tired, but a great location. It is across the street from the water taxi, and it sits on the beach.
