Disney bans smoking in all hotels
Just read where Walt Disney World has banned smoking totally at all Disney hotels. And not just in the rooms but on the balconies as well. How wonderful is that! No more getting stuck with a room that smells like an ashtray. And this was done due to customer demand. Less than 4% of their rooms were being reserved for smokers. Hope this is a trend.

I think this is great news!
We just stayed in a 100% non smoking hotel in Seattle, and that is becoming something I look for in hotels. Even one we have booked in Paris for this summer is nonsmoking. I like this direction that hotels are taking.

I've never heard that smokers hate smoking rooms. Maybe we can get some smokers to comments on that. Smokers?
Gekko: why would an all-smoking hotel fail miserably?
And how many times can you get the word smoker/smoking into one post?

As far as smoker's opinions might go? My S/O is a smoker and he will not stay in a smoking room. Can't stand the smell. He would rather take an elevator down several stories, walk through a lobby, and stand outside the hotel in freezing weather to have a smoke in a non-smoking hotel rather than spending even the shortest amount of time in a smoking room.
