JW Marriott Orlando for Disney trip
Has anyone stayed at the JW Marriott in Orlando for a Disney trip?
I have booked it for a 4 night stay in April on points, but I'm wondering if its going to be inconvenient due to distance to Disney/Epcot.
The hotel says it has a shuttle that runs regularly and it's about a 15 minute drive.
I booked this hotel to avoid paying $500 a night at one of the Disney resorts.
Any feedback on staying at the JWM for a trip to MK and Epcot would be appreciated!

It is a great hotel with an A plus resort pool sharing access to an excellent spa and fitness facility with the Ritz. Restaurants at both hotels is excellent. You are staying at a much nicer place than and Disney hotel with less of the kiddy madness at the Disney properties.
It is more than fifteen minutes to the parks considering traffic. The shuttle is much less frequent than the Disney transportation bus. The commute is enough you probably won't do mid day breaks at the hotel.
You have an excellent place at a better price, but will compromise with access time.

It is a great hotel, but not at all convenient to Disney, and definitely not a 15 minute drive. It has a fantastic pool and golf course but other than that there is nothing around there. It is a big conference hotel as well so you can expect conventioneers.

Based on my experience with "shuttles" from off site hotels (2 other upscale - they are generally not as scheduled and sometimes don;t show up at all) you really need to rent a car if you are staying here and going to Disney eery day.
