Hi,I just won the Hyatt Regency Chicago on East Wacker Drive on Priceline for $86 per night.Can someone tell me if this is a good hotel? Good Location for touring the city?
Close to alot of attractions? Any comments on this hotel or the area it's located would be appreciated! Thanks,Debbie

Hi, I stayed there with my sisters last fall and it is a great location to Michigan Ave shopping and restaurants, if you have a chance go to Second City Comedy theater, really good time for only 17 dollars. Have fun.

Hi - I stayed there just over a year ago for a convention. Very nice place, and very large (as I remember, it has over 1000 rooms) as well. Location is excellent -- close to the river and to the Mag Mile. You can walk north up to the shopping, or take a quick cab ride. You'll enjoy it, and you got a great price!!

HI Lonann and Mona,Thanks for the quick replies! I'm so glad to hear it's in a good location! I would love to try the Comedy Theater...never been to one.
We'll be there in June so it'll be warm enough to walk the city.(Within reason of course!) I could not find a lower price for less than $240 on my dates.

Typical large Hyatt convention hotel. It is in a great location! Make sure you walk down to the Wrigly Building and go eat at the original Billy Goat Tavern. It's actually under the building.

I've been looking up past posts to see the best way to get from O'Hare to the City and it seems like the EL is my best bet. I don't want to be stuck in traffic.....Anybody have any other suggestion or comments it would be great. Thanks,Debbie

Just be sure if you take the L into the city from O'Hare that you don't have too much luggage with you, otherwise it could be an uncomfortable trip into town.

The El is a great, easy, and cheap mode of transportation for the airport!

We stayed at the Hyatt twice - each for the Chicago Marathon. Each time we took the L into town. The first time we walked to the hotel.....the second time we spent the $5 and grabbed a cab! (Yes, you can walk it, but the sidewalks are very uneven and hard to pull the suitcases along. MikeJ is right - limit the luggage!) There are lots of people walking from the station to the hotel. It is easier to walk FROM the Hyatt TO the L because it is downhill! There will be plenty of cabs in the area of the station. The Hyatt is also a nice walk away from the Art Institute!

Hello MikeJ,Gotravel,and Maple,We plan a taking a small suitcase each and bringing as little as possible.We took the train from Reagan National in Wash.,DC to the City and we only had backpacks.I can see where bringing any amount of luggage would be a problem!Wow.It was a fun way to go though..
I think we will take a cab to the hotel
from the station.Thanks for all the great advice!!I really appreciate it!

Chicago.com.to find out how to get to Downtown on the L.I can tell I take the Blue Line from O'Hare to Downtown but I'm not sure about my stop? Is it Clark I get off at? Debbie

Getting to the L "station" at O'Hare is really easy. There are lots of signs and also lots of people going there. There are ticket kiosks once you get to the L "station" and the ticket-agent type folks are very helpful!

That always helps! I went to the Hyatt Website and looked up my reservation.It said 'Priceline Vice Presidential 1 King or 2 Doubles' Does that mean I got an upgrade? It sounds good to me! I could call but I think I'll wait and be surprised...(or not).Debbie
