Chicago restaurants and needlepoint

Two wonderful restaurants to recommend from last week's trip to Chicago. MK on Franklin is fantastic! Haven't had such a wonderful dinner in a long time. Not inexpensive but much more pleasant than Charlie Trotter's. The other one we really enjoyed for those who like little comfy bistros is Bistro 110 on Pearson I think. Also, if you're in Evanston Cafe Roxy is cute and comfortable. Good pizza/pasta etc. And, for those of us who stitch there is now an airline approved yarn cutter/needle threader which is about the size of a razor and ties onto your canvas. The Canvasback in Northfield, IL, sells them and has a website. Tapestry needles went through security without any problems.

Kam; thanks for the restaurant tips! We will be in Chicago next week and I have looked at several options for our visit, I'll be sure to add yours to our list!

Any word yet on if cross stitch or quilting needles have been approved for flight yet? I'll look into the yarn cutter for use in cutting my thread.

I've taken cross stitch needles on two flights (one just after Sep 11 2001 and one in April 2002) without any problems-Delta. I used a clover thread cutter instead of scissors.

Any word on knitting needles? I miss knitting on those long flights.

I saw a lady knitting yesterday at Laguardia while waiting for her plane, so I'm guessing they're okay. Might want to check with the airline though.
