Carmel California places to stay

I will be going to Carmel in April and would love to stay at an inn close or in town. This will be our year and a half celebration. Any suggestions? Our budget is to stay close to $200.00 per night.

Tank you,

Kitty

We just spent two nights last weekend at the Cypress Inn. Depending upon when you're visiting, you may be able to meet your budget there. It's perfectly located, and quite nice.

I would also recommend the Pine Inn, also centrally located. Classic old Carmel, with a good restaurant on the premises.

The Dolphin is right at your target price. From the upper floors at the Dolphin, you have an ocean view. Center city, very nice.

The Village Garden Inn's web site doesn't provide exact prices but my guess is they are slightly less than Dolphin. Also right in town on Ocean.

I have stayed at both. Prefer the Dolphin.

La Playa is a nice property and they have an outdoor pool and a restaurant on-site. The grounds are beautiful here, it is a historic property listed on the National Register for Historic Hotels. ***kim***

La Playa, Gosby House In PG, Pine Inn are all past places I've stayed that I would recommend.

I am staying this weekend at the Candlelight Inn in Carmel and will post a trip report.
