1st year anniversary, carmel

Hi,

I am looking for a great place to stay in Carmel for our 1st year anniversary. We love the downtown area and are looking for something romantic around $150. (fireplace maybe?)

Is the Pine Inn nice?

We would spend a little more for a really special place.

Thanks!!

The PINE INN is very nice. They also have a nice restaurant attached, IL FORNAIO, that has good food. It is located on Ocean and easy walk to anything in downtown Carmel.

You may also check the GREEN GABLE INN or SEVEN GABLE INN....both on Monterey Bay in Pacific Grove. Great bed and breakfast places but probably more than $150.00 per night.

Cobblestone Inn is nice, but more than $150, I think. It's a four Sisters inn, I believe, and they are all very nice. Look at the web site for Vagabond, also. Everyone has a slightly different definition of romantic. I'm not quite sure what you'll like.

I was in Carmel last year with my boyfriend on a trip down the CA coast. We stayed at the Cypress Inn and only regret was that we didn't hae longer to spend! Wonderful place and the locals and bartender we chatted with all had great recommendations on restaurants and activities.

we decided to spend a little more than $150, maybe around $200.00 a night. La Playa looked amazing but they were booked.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
What we would consider romantic is a fireplace, maybe a jacuzzi or a big tub and as luxurious as possible for $200. ( I know that may be asking a lot).

If we were to choose between L'Auberge Carmel or Casanova for an anniversay dinner, what would you suggest?
Both look beautiful!
