Cannon Beach
Does anyone know anything about The Inn At Cannon Beach? Trying to keep our budget down, but want clean, convenient and comfy.Budget won't allow Stephanie Inn and the likes for 3 nights. Would Best Western Surfside or something else be a better alternative? Actually using this site to do a bunch of exploring on the coast, so won't be there that much. Still.......... Thanks

Is it Schooner's Cove Inn at Cannon Beach? If so, I think you'll like it. I've not stayed there, but from outside, it looks like a nice place. Great location at one end of three-block long central Cannon Beach.
Have not heard of Best Western Surfside. Would it be Best Western Hallmark?

I believe it is the Hallmark, in Cannon Beach. I can't help you in the lodging but I could recommend that you try Mo's for some great seafood and beautiful views of Haystack Rock!
I hope you get to drive about half an hour into Astoria. It was just featured in the NYTimes and recently received "The Best 12 Destinations in the United States" award.
Cannon Beach is a wonderful place. Seaside, down the road a bit is also worth visiting. Walk the prom, feed the seals, rent a surrey bike and ride around the town. Have fun!! ***kim***

Stephanie Inn has some queen rooms that face East. We stayed in one recently. It was a little small, but nice and we were able to get a very good rate by asking for an AAA or Senior Rate.
I, too, am eager to learn about The Inn at Cannon Beach.
We've stayed at The Hallmark. The queen rooms with NW views are sometimes a good value, but they don't serve breakfast.

I love Cannon Beach, we go there every summer. I wouldn't stay at the Hallmark... to large and a bit of a walk to the good part of town. I've stayed at Schooner's... it's nice. I also like the Waves Hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed (with gas fireplace), bright and affordable. They are also right on the beach with ocean views. It's one block from the cute town. Whatever you decide to do, get a room with a kitchen. The restaurants in town are limited, and making your own breakfast or lunch really comes in handy.
Have fun! Ecola state park is right next door to the hotel.... don't miss it!

The Waves must of been where we stayed. I loved Cannon Beach and we had a room with gas fireplace and our view was Haystack rock. When the tide went out you could climb some of the rocks and visit wonderful sea life living there.
Great memories!

Ecola State Park is beautiful. Some scenes from Kindergarten Cop were filmed there. Indian Beach is also very pretty, just a short hike down the trail to the beautiful beach.
